Deogracia Cornelio, Associate Director, Education

Denogracia Cornelio is the LOSH Associate Director of Education responsible for the development of bilingual curricula and educational programs, their implementation and evaluation.

Ms. Cornelio holds a Master of Arts degree in Latin American Studies and Anthropology from the University of Florida, and she is currently completing her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics at UCLA. She has worked for many years in the areas of social service and social research, as well as adult health education and counseling, with a focus on gender, race and class differences, and their impact in interpersonal and intergroup communication, cultural and knowledge production. She has extensive experience with popular education, qualitative, participatory research and other methods to advance social justice issues.
