Sara Beth Harrell
Sara Beth Harrell is a project coordinator at LOSH, where she develops COVID-19 response training and outreach materials to keep essential workers safe during the pandemic. Before coming to LOSH, Sara Beth was a teaching assistant for the UCLA Labor Studies Department, and she has a background as a community organizer in both New Orleans and Los Angeles. She is interested in continuing to explore the intersection of public health and worker justice, especially as it pertains to the COVID-19 pandemic. She values storytelling in organizing and is eager to lift up the voices of workers who are most vulnerable.
Outside of work, Sara Beth likes to run, practice yoga, and spend time with her dog.
Sara Beth holds a master’s degree in public health from UCLA and a bachelor’s degree in public health from Tulane University. During her master’s program, she obtained a certificate in reproductive and population health to help her advance reproductive justice for marginalized workers.
