Sofia is a third-year Public Health student with a minor in Public Affairs. Sofia aspires to continue her education by pursuing a master’s in Health Policy and/or Community Health Sciences. Sofia is passionate about uplifting underserved communities, especially when it comes to health justice. Occupational safety and health means creating a safe space to work without fear. It’s about striving to provide access to proper training, protective gear, and a voice to speak up when things are wrong and when people’s health is on the line. Ultimately, it means uplifting and empowering the working class.
Outside of work, Sofia enjoys spending most of her free time dancing. You can find her dancing on stage, in a dance studio, or a parking lot. She has been competitively dancing for 10 years and is part of a hip-hop team based in LA.
