Matt Gray Brush

Matt Gray Brush (MPH, CHES) is a Program Manager at UCLA LOSH. His primary role involves overseeing and supporting workers in Public Health Councils Initiative. He collaborates regularly with certified worker organizations, community-based organizations, and local & state governments to help promote health and safety in the workplace.

Matt holds diverse experience in public health roles, including serving as a COVID-19 Outbreak Investigator, family planning health worker, and youth educator. Matt believes education is a pathway toward liberation, one that should be accessible, inclusive, and empowering. His work highlights his passion for education, accessibility, and addressing systemic inequalities as well as uniting communities around shared grievances to create positive change.

Matt earned his BA from the University of Connecticut in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies & Human Rights. He also holds an MPH in Community Health Sciences from UCLA, with a specialization in Health Education and Promotion. He enjoys spending time making art, enjoying nature, and networking with other queer & trans people. He lives with his partner and two rambunctious cats.
