Emily Kaner
Emily Kaner is a Graduate Student Researcher at LOSH who supports ongoing research projects, including the Fire Mechanics Study.
Emily is a fourth-year PhD student in the Fielding School of Public Health, Department of Community Health Sciences. Emily’s research aims to understand social and structural factors that shape health inequities, with a focus on examining the changing nature of work. Her academic training and research experiences have solidified her belief that working between disciplines, with community members, and using mixed methods is necessary to address health inequities, and she is passionate about the possibilities for a healthy and just future of work.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, and walking.
