Dylan Portillo
Dylan Portillo is a Health and Safety Program Assistant at LOSH. He provides both administrative and logistical support to various projects, including those focused on COVID-19 and workplace violence.
Before joining LOSH, Dylan worked as a Research Assistant at UCLA, researching the impact of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s (LADWP) energy transition from gas to renewable energy on its generator plant technicians and workers. Dylan also worked on a Congressional campaign in California’s First District as a remote organizer and a digital outreach trainer to hundreds of volunteers.
Dylan is passionate about environmental justice and its intersection with worker rights and sustainability. He seeks a career that protects all workers and residents from the variability of the climate crisis. Outside of LOSH, Dylan enjoys cooking, nature walks, theatre, and city performances.
Dylan holds a bachelor of environmental studies degree and a minor in public affairs from UCLA.
