Evelyn Mejia
Evelyn Mejia is the Finance and Operations Analyst at LOSH. She provides financial and operational support to both LOSH and the Western Region Universities Consortium (WRUC) serving as a liaison between community partners, vendors, and organizational affiliates. She coordinates special events including but not limited to the Occupational Health Internship Program (OHIP) Orientation and manages resources for LOSH staff and projects.
Evelyn is passionate about environmental justice and community-based urban planning, committing to advancing environmental health and social justice for all workers. Her interests stem from her upbringing in an predominantly working-class immigrant community facing health disparities and housing inequalities. She strives to continue to combat urban and health inequalities to support underrepresented communities.
Outside of work, Evelyn enjoys traveling. She earned her bachelor’s degree in urban studies with a minor in psychology and social behavior from UC Irvine.
