Jacqueline Torres is a Student Assistant at LOSH who creates social media graphics and carries out various administrative tasks.
Jacqueline is a fourth-year undergraduate student at UCLA, majoring in psychobiology to attend graduate school in a health-related field. As a daughter of immigrant parents, she aspires to eradicate the unfair treatment of immigrants, specifically in the Latino population, in healthcare and workplace settings. Occupational safety and health mean inclusivity for fair treatment of all workers regardless of their background or position title. As a LOSH Student Assistant, she hopes to enhance her knowledge of labor safety and advocacy for workers’ rights.
Outside of work, Jacqueline enjoys being a member of the UCLA volunteer program, going on hiking trips, cooking, and traveling.
