Lizbeth Diaz
As a Hazmat Outreach and Education Specialist at LOSH, Lizbeth Diaz works on the Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) trainings, providing logistical support, cofacilitating trainings, and developing educational materials and activities, including those on COVID-19 worker protections.
Lizbeth received her Masters in Public Health with a focus in Environmental Health Sciences and Industrial Hygiene from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health in June 2021. She previously attended California State University, Northridge, where she earned a BS in public health. After graduation, she hopes to become a certified industrial hygienist and work with community-based, worker, and environmental justice organizations to address occupational and environmental health disparities.
Lizbeth believes that occupational health and safety means empowering workers with knowledge, skills, and tools to keep themselves safe and healthy while working.
Outside of work, she likes to cook and spend time with her family and dogs.
