Protecting Workers from Extreme Heat

Four short worker health and safety video clips were produced in the following six Indigenous languages:

Each video clip focuses on one of four messages from the Cal/OSHA Heat Illness Prevention Standard, all of which are required California workplace provisions:

  • Drinking Water
  • Shade and Rest
  • Heat Illness Symptoms
  • Extreme Temperatures

The messages were audio-recorded and written in the Indigenous languages (above), and produced into short video clips. Translations and audio recordings were provided by Comunidades Indígenas en Liderazgo (CIELO).

This project was made possible by funding from the NIEHS Worker Training Program (Grant No. U45ES006173).
